Vulcanized splice- This method is usually considered the most ideal and can be shop installed in new belts but the user most be prepared to disassemble the conveyor to install the belt. Criteria For Selecting an On-Site Belt Contractor

A professional belt installation contractor sells belt and conveyor accessories as a means of controlling the overall quality of his primary business which is providing a service that gives his customers the best life possible from their conveying equipment.

The representative that surveys and quotes the project will be an experienced belt mechanic. He will inspect the conveying equipment, assist with belt selection and recommend system repairs or modifications to improve belt service life if needed. The job will be planned to assure that the resources necessary will arrive at the scheduled time and the belt mechanics will then string and splice the belt with minimum interference and down time at the facility.

The professional belt contractor will have well maintained, self contained service trucks equipped with generators, air compressors, lifting and rigging tools, all necessary hand tools and a variety of belt presses. The belt mechanics will be trained in conveyor principles as well as the art of belt vulcanizing in any environment.  Further, they will be current in all required safety training.
